The Day After Christmas

Hi guys!

Sorry the post is late. I had scheduled it to post sooner but I’d forgotten to press the schedule button. :/

How are we all? I hope you all had a great Christmas.

I spent Christmas with my Nan, husband and our dog, Patch watching old re – runs of top of the pops featuring Christmas songs, Morcambe and Wise Christmas Specials and Only Fools and Horses. Christmas Dinner consisted of a turkey crown, stuffing,  mashed potato, mixed veg and parsnip.

Yum!

We were joined by my siblings for tea and more present opening. My husband and I had bought them a mug each. My sister, who is eight is a big fan of everything Frozen and my brother who is nine (turning ten in January) is big on anything to do with Spiderman and Despicable Me. We’d then bought them stickers and stationary along with a homemade colouring book.

Now that Christmas has been and gone (almost) I’m thinking ahead to next year, setting goals and what I’d like to achieve. I’m starting a new journal as I start one every year along with a gratitude journal to combat my depression and a scrapbook for a pick me up when I’m struggling.

What are your goals as we head into 2016?

I’m not making resolutions. Instead I’m going to work on what I can improve. Resolutions never stick, anyway.

Thank you for all of your likes, comments and follows this year. I hope you have a great new year and I’ll be here to greet you on the 2nd of January. :).

See you then,

Blaze

Happy New Year!!!

It’s been a while and for that I can only apologise. I needed some time away to gather my thoughts about where this blog was going and if it was still a worthwhile project to continue with. Aside from that there’s been the issue of my health, too. 2014 has proven to be really challenging in terms of my mental health and there’s been times when I’ve questioned my presence in this world but I am still here and fighting, ready for whatever this year throws at me.

2015 is a new year. A new start full of hope and misadventures enveloping us all in its wake. We take a look back at what we’ve achieved, what we’re thankful for and reflect on what impact those things have had in our lives. While doing so we look forward with what we’d like to achieve in the new year and what passions we’d like to follow up in the coming year.

I am going to be posting regularly from now on. The rota I am working from will be to post on Thursdays, Saturdays and Tuesdays. These posts will focus on various subjects such as my experience with mental health, short stories that I have written in my spare time, talking about my WIP and my experience co authoring for the first time. I hope that you will enjoy this as part of my new look and structure and that you will abide with me during my journey.

What are your New Year’s Resolutions? I’d like to hear them. I’m not making any this year. Instead, I am going to celebrate the things I do achieve rather than dwell on what I don’t. 🙂

I wish you all luck, prosperity, fun and wealth this year.

May all you do be victorious.
